Our first film this season is Tuner    –   Niki (Leo Woodall) works as a piano tuner under the mentorship of Harry (Dustin Hoffman) and the two of them bond over their work and shared love of music. It becomes a slick crime caper, following a master safe cracker in the hustle and bustle of New York.`

 We will be offering supper with an Italian theme – £15 film and supper, £7 film only

Film starts at 7.45pm and the bar opens at 7pm, selling wine, beers, gin and tonic, soft drinks, and ice creams. Cards accepted.

As this month we frequently offer supper before the film at an additional price which reflects the theme of the film. Vegetarian and GF options available. The meal is bookable in advance.

Tuner is a 2026 crime-drama and heist thriller film directed by academy award winner Daniel Roher in his narrative feature debut. It stars Leo Woodall as a piano tuner with hypersensitive hearing whose unique pitch talents draw him into dangerous safecracking. The movie also stars Dustin Hoffman and Havana Rose Liu.

Plot and Style

The story follows Niki, a young piano tuner in New York suffering from hyperacusis (an extreme sensitivity to loud noises). Working with his older mentor Harry Horowitz, Niki’s meticulous perfect pitch and sharp ear for internal mechanisms inadvertently make him an expert at cracking safes. Criminals soon exploit his hidden talent, pulling him into a high-stakes underworld that threatens his budding romance with a composition student named Ruthie.
